The first way is to use keyword tool. For example, lets start from Google Keyword Tool External. This tool is simple and free - so that's the benefit of it. You can start your research from health queries as dental care keyword phrase. But the problem is that Google won't give you all keywords it has for this phrase and won't give you a long tail keywords, that can be more targeted and more relevant to your blog.

Next, according to Global or Local Google Searches you can analyse the popularity of the given keywords and keywords relevant to it. The only thing is that allm this you will have to do manually.

Or you can use some keyword tool of developers. The benefits are:
    - more automated process of the keyword research
    - you can get keyword, phrases, long tail keywords at one time
    - sort and analyse keyword list by popularity for each keyword in the list
    - find similar keywords for dental care, as they can give you more traffic

This thing are realized in some keyword tools that I've read a lot, like Xedant Keyword Database etc.

First think what will you write to search for services or product you are offering.Make a list of keywords , then Open keyword suggestion tool, look for the global monthly searches search for these keywords. Be realistic when choosing keywords, If you are very Good in SEO and have confidence that you can bring high targeted keywords on Google chose high traffic keyword if you are not Good SEO look for keywords with low competition. Also search long tail keywords specially for new site.

    Hi Dokter Gigi,

Every man and his dog have their own views about keyword research and use. Ask 100 internet marketers and they'll all probably do things differently.

There are some fundamentals that most people observe and of course the fundamentals change slightly depending on just exactly what your campaign is. For example are you trying for very competitve keywords against high authority sites. Good luck if you are, especially as a beginner.

For on page optimizing you might find it easier to begin with if you target the long tail keywords first. Try targeting one or two keywords per page of your site. Go for long tail keywords, ones which are getting search figures between 30 and 100 per day but don't have excessive competition......no more than say 20,000 for the exact search. Check out the competition thoroughly though as if all the first page of competitors are sites with high PR values you may be wasting your time. Ideally you want to find your major competitors for those keywords having as low PR as possible. PR 0 and 1 are ideal as they should be easy to outrank if you do your backlinking well.

Once you have identified your keywords for say a particular article on your site, just write in a fluent and interesting way using totally unique content. Sprinkle the keyword choices through the article but keep the density LOW. Too high a keyword density and the search engines may treat it like spam. More importantly anyone reading your site will not find it easy to read and more than likely leave your site. If you write in a natural way the LSI will take care of itself as you will be constantly using similar phrases to your keywords throughout.

If you do this for each article say on your site and have 20 to 30 articles on the site, each one could well generate a few visitors per day. Some won't get many if any, whilst others will do better. The sum total could be a decent visitor flow for a fledgling site for a beginner.

Then you can take it from there with backlinking etc.

The niche you are interesting in promoting is largely irrelevant provided people and interested in the subject matter. Dental care is a pretty important topic for many people. So apply the principles I suggested and you might get a bit of success.

    Good luck,

    Andy

google's keyword tool mixed with some research of how difficult it would be to rank it vs the amount of searches, done.
