How to get free website templates ? Also, TemplateMonster affiliate program ?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge regarding website templates. There are hundreds of websites with both FREE and PAID website templates available. However, it seems like most of these sites actually HOST the file on their own server rather than linking to the owner.... but how do they get these ? There is no way they all design them themselves- it seems like the same templates are on so many different websites. If i wanted to create a site with free templates, do I need to contact individual designers for them? Or if they are free can you just post them to your site and credit them as the creator and source?

Also, does anyone know if the TemplateMonster affiliate program is any good for hosting paid templates?

just google free template and you'll get a lot. I didn't hear TemplateMonster affiliate program.

 

I know there are a million free templates available to download and use for yourself, but I am talking about posting them and making them available for download on your own site. (Not for ME to use, but to provide on my site for OTHER people to download).
