An example would be: If you create an amazing collection of free high quality photoshop layer styles, people will start blogging and linking to your site (the source of the free stuff). I can't find the example URL... but anyways: if you provide top quality you will gain quite a bit of link bait because there's very few out there on the internet and people are looking for these things
