Guys Does anyone have clear idea and guidance for getting extended listing in SERPs For example When you search for keyword "my wedding favors" with G, you can see the extended search result For the top site. .. Like.. Candle Wedding Favors Place Card Holders Personalized Favors Beach Wedding Favors high quality, unique wedding ... Forever Photo Glass Coasters Link To Us Articles Does anyone know how to get this? Is this a paid advertising or something else?
try reading this http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=47334 they are sitelinks
Thanks for the link.. But our site links are almost found by and listed in G's search result. Why they not showing it for our keyword.. Is there any particular reason.. Do we need to achieve any basic requirements they need? Im looking for something helpful if possible which we need to work towards. Thanks alot in advance.
I don't know exactly but I think that you need all your keywords to rank very well and it is about how you do your code-seo throughout your website.
Supposed that your site's traffic is quite good. It must be sth users search & click on most often so that your sitelinks listed on Google SERPs. Do you use the keywords exactly same as the navigation, don't you?
Tapher, I agree with both of you and the below reply.. But our SERP is <10 for most of our keywords. We did our most to keep that position. I personaly believe that there is something else hiding behind this secret.. Im sure. Im expecting that true from our DP mates.. Help us.. Thanks.
Nobody can truly answer your question besides the Google Engineer.. You can log into your Google Webmaster tool account to take a look if it has been enabled for your site
Its called sitelink. Google generates these links automatically. You can't do anything to have Google generate it.
We noticed them for our site a few months ago. Figured it was a new feature. But looks like it is not for all sites. It only shows up for a handful of searches where our site shows in the SERPs though... not all interestingly enough. We did not do anything special to get them to show up... it is something G does on their end.
Understood. But does anyone know if there is any SEO we can do to help "persuade" the Google algorithm(s) to generate these links for our sites?
You need to have alot of links pointing to about 10 of your subpages. Sitelinks have 8 secondry listings, as well as the main one which is 9 URL's however heavily promote 10. Your structure for these 10 pages needs to be good and clearly defined. Chances are you will only get Sitelinks for a search of your domain name and not various keywords. For example DP has sitelinks for "DigitalPoint" and not "Digital Point". If you can get 3 URL's from your site in to the top 10 for your domain name, your on your way to getting Sitelinks. So try and get as many of your URL's to the front page for your domain name. One interesting thing is Google doesn't even have Sitelinks for "Google".
Sure. Build a site that thousands of other sites will tell Google is an authority on a particular subject. Get a huge amount of traffic from Google that doesn't hit the back button.
no, several sites I have researched - with the extended linking ( sitelinks ) have a PR 5 by the toolbar PR at least . e.g search "bopo'' google , an Aus. credit card company, shows 5 from where I sit ( assuming it is reasonably accurate )
I know a PR4 site with them, and internal pages are PR3 or 4 also I dont think high PR is the factor I also know a PR2 with them (which does everyone get so caught up on high PR - it is silly) http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=e...7,GGLG:en&q=volkswagen+parts&btnG=Search&meta
