Im in web for several years and i never got a sight of this exposure thing...
I know if you have enough exposure even a "Hello world" page will sell :D
I've made several good pages yet all ended in the recycle bin after some years...maybe the "exposure" thing was missing duh.

    Give me hints...

    - Writing articles...im not a native english speaker...so that might be out of my league...
    - Begging for links from the popular sites...no..im not a beggar so i cannot do that either
    - Cheating ppl so they click your ads... no...im not a thief or a lawyer...i cannot do that :)
    - Investing tons of money... no...im poor as a roach so i cannot do that..also if i had tons of money why would i need to get exposure or anything else lol...

So, what else there is? :D

I'd say the #1 way would be to write an excellent press release. Thousands of bloggers are looking for content on their site. Spend the $30 to $99 bucks and get that press release out there. It will snowball 6 times out of 10.

Don't bother about what people do to get exposure. Do what you think can beat your competitors. Make some image. Not by buying links but some other way.

Peep in what your speciality is and do the same work for other people. Don't tell them that you need link in return but tell them that if they are then would appreciate a backlink.

Don't write and submit articles in article directories but write for other blogs. People do not have time to write or rewrite articles for their website. Help them and ask for a backlink if they can. If yes, then surely work more for them and give them researched contents. You don;t need to be a writer but you need to be a researcher. I m not telling you to research for 24 hours and write an article. But atleast make it interesting and updated.

Press release might help you but still you are travelling in the same boat. Think something else.

Now follow Twitter. Google and other search engines have signed a deal with Twitter. The more tweets you get the more exposure you can get. Reach people by their interests and ask them to tweet if they like.

Don't follow building links as what other are doing. Link exchange is too old and even Matt Cutt support this phrase.

Even no-follow on other blogs can get your exposure. No-follow are considered by Google but not if they are coming through link trading, paid links or other.

Social networking is something new. Offer people with some good knowledge and interesting thing. Not only update about what you are doing and what your website is all about. But tweet something which you have found something new. People are going to follow you. Not everyone who visits on Twitter is a webmaster but there are numerous people from numerous fields who visits Twitter. Make them happy and updated and are sure to go high.

I hope this post or in other sense article :) is going to help you.

    Best of luck!!

PS: I don't want any backlink from you for this advice or solution whatever you tell this.

don't forget to make viral videos too. Short 30 second -2 minute spots, giving a 'taste' of more to come if they click the link to the site.

Make something people want and know where those people are and you'll get your exposure soon enough.

I think atleast you can start using your brain and learn the things from DP and other places. On internet, it's just enough to have interest to learn and smart implementations for making money.

I've been getting free optins to my site for years using the following:

    1) Figure out what your value is, and what you have to offer the world (as opposed to yet another boring, generic site that is trying to sell something, think about how you can actually help people).

    2) Create an ebook/course that people have to pay for, and create a free version of it - a white paper/7 day ecourse/useful video are all things you could do - as a tempter to get them to optin to your email list.

    3) Use your email list as a way of promoting your paid course (remember to give good value though - 2 content emails to every 1 'marketing' email is a decent rule of thumb.

    4) Record some youtube videos of you giving useful tips out around whatever your site is about. So when people search for 'how to...' they will see your videos. They then see you giving a short presentation, get some useful info, and then decide to visit your site as a result.

    5) Try and convey as much of your own uniqueness and your own personality as you can! This is what will bring you loyal subcribers and people coming back to you time and time again. If you try and make everyone happy, you will end up pleasing noone.

You do not have to beg popular sites for backlinks. Just google "high pagerank websites" and sign up for accounts with those that have them a leave your links on them.

All what you say might be correct but i don't think i can take any advantage of it, i really don't have a unique product that is a new idea or that people want it, probably such things don't exist anymore...

Theres plenty of ways to get great exposure especially in todays world. A few examples would be forums, blogs, social networks, videos, affiliates, search engines such as google/yahoo..skies the limit you pretty much just have. to do your homework on it and the traffic starts flowing as well the money :) Hope this helps.

I really dont believe such ways will increase your traffic in a long term...you keep adding links but they keep dropping an vanishing from view :p
Also social networks and similar services require that you already have a good source of traffic to link to them so they're pretty useless if you're completely unknown for starting...
Web is not for ppl starting now, is for ppl who started 4,5 years ago...i talk by personal experience and that you cannot contradict...

Do not waste your time thinking what went wrong for too long. Correct from mistakes and always ensure to spy on the competition. They can be the best teachers, you know?
