Today i knew that there would be 80 domains that will expire and all of them status was pendingdelete so i kept all day refreshing to see if they would be available then suddenly i check the whois and they were already registered all of them till 2009 . Can anyone tell me how to get these domains ? A backorder does it mean i have to pay 60 $ to backorder each domain ? i don't understand please help me .
Sometimes the terms might be different. Why don't you contact the numerous online websites offering expired and soon to expire domain names?
well u see the reason is that i waited all day long refreshing to find out i couldn't get even 1 domain out of those 80 so i was just wondering wich is the best way to get pending deleted domains.
Wait for 5 days and check again, the domains might just be being "tasted" for traffic. You only pay the backorder fee if you get the domain. Pool, snapnames and namejet are all about $60-70 (if there are no other bidders)
good place to get expired domain is www.tdnam.com it's sister website of GoDaddy, make sure to login before you place your bid. You can sort domains by category and sub-category and like that search for theme related domain name...Obviously before placing any bid, check domain age, wayback machine, backlinks (check how many backlinks Yahoo is showing), some may even have PR...hope this helps
There are sites that provide lists of already EXPIRED lists. You can find them on the DNXperd blog or in the NamePros forums.
I already knew the domains already i just didn't even have time to register them even though i was refreshing page every 15 min to check on them
Well, in this case you were either checking a whois database that doesn't update too frequently or you have made a big gap between your checks and someone else registered the domians in this period. If you so badly want to catch a domain name right after it expires, you better use snap domain service such as SnapNames.com.
So at TDNAM...if I wait until a certain domain that I want has like 1 minute left before the bid is over and i bid their minimum price...does that mean I get the domain for that price or no? Thanks!
In order to attempt to register expiring domain names, you need to look at backordering services. There are many such services where you can backorder a domain free of charge - you only pay if they are able to register the expiring domain. The secret: Backorder a domain name at more than one backordering service - you increase your chances of getting the domain registered. Here is a guide for doing this: http://www.tradedomains.org/backordering_domain_names.html You can also download daily lists of expiring domain names: http://www.tradedomains.org/deleted_domain_lists.html
I have readed somewhere that the domain name becomes available exactly after 75 days from the expiration date listed in the Whois database (if the owner doesn't renew it of course), but I can't give a exact link now. So after you check the expiration day, you need to count 75 days and try then, but to avoid the risk, you better use a backordering service, as others also recommended.
if you are the last bidder you get it, but if you make a late bid then the auction is automatically extended for 2 more minutes to give anyone a chance
Yes , but it would still cost a lot of money to get 1 domain though is it possible to snatch it away when it becomes available i have been on it for 2 days and i know when domains are being re-registered again .
tophost, it is unfortunate but truly dropping names are nearly (if not completely impossible for the average person to just grab by themselves (if they have any value at all) the professional registering companies have instant bot programs that are running multiple servers and grab everything that might possibly have any value so that they can taste it or resell it for a profit most registrars will not let a domain even get to that point if it gets any traffic at all, and will auction it off well before it gets to the drop point
