How to get dropped from Google for certain keywords

My website has changed focus and we no longer desire to be ranked for certain key words.

I have removed the keywords that are no longer of interest to us ranking for.

How can we expedite Google & Yahoo to drop our website from the SERPS for these keywords?

I never heard of someone wanting to lose positions!

One thought is that if any of the links are going to whole pages that you don't need anymore you can delete or rename the whole page and as soon as Google finds the broken link they should pull that page from the SERP.

Besides that I am not sure what else to do to speed it up after you pulled the keywords - I would think it would only take a couple crawls to do complete the plummet.

Link do bad neighborhoods or simply practice black hat on your site and eventually your site will be remove from SERP

If you do black Hat then wouln't Google ban the whole site rather than just remove the keywords relating to that site that are no longer relevant ?

From the post I understood that the website was ongoing, just not relevant to certain keywords.

I just want to be removed for certain key words, not get my site banned.... if I wanted to do that, I 'd just unplug the server.

The reason we want to be removed for certain keywords is that we no longer carry a certain suppliers product line and they are pressuring us to get ourselves removed, since we sell a competing products line. (Since we are no longer licensed to display their name and logos, etc.)

Yep, we have removed those keywords and text, Google has re-crawled the effected pages a couple of times. Our description has changed, yet we are still number 1 for their product line's name. (Even though there is no longer any reference to their product name.)

I guess we just have to wait it out.

    My dear friend

A very simple answer. Simple change the name of that URL with different name of your choice.

So when google comes to crawl he will not find that URL for the keyword which you have tried so will remove that previous URL from their serp with the keyword you have tried

    Cool Mate Enjoy

This is numerous pages on our website, to include the main index page. I don't want to be dropped or loose ranking for other keywords on the same pages. Removing the URL's isn't an option.
