how to get directory started?

    Hi, I'm trying to create a niche directory. How do I get started? do I submit some good links myself? or just market an empty dir?

    Is the directory going to be a free directory, or will people need to pay?

    I'd add some links myself, because an empty directory wont encourage others to add their own links.

    Try doing promotions initially through articles and siglinks. Then submit your dir to directory critic and a few others. You can also start by announcing your dir @ the directory section.
