Just started with cj, anyway i want to get my affiliate link with my reference number and point it to main page of retailer so it registers clicks, is there anyway to do this? The site is a bit confusing, please help. Also i tried someones site and when i click a link it will go to a store page with a link like www.site.com/cjentry
In CJ click on any advertiser creative then HTML then the URL in between <a href="http://www.xxxxxx.com/click-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx" target="_top">
Some affiliates allow direct/deep linking and some do not. When they do you are presented the option as you create your links using the CJ interface. If not you can always do your own redirects to wherever you want with .htaccess or other link cloaking software. Be sure if you do redirect using your own solution to test your links. Security software and IE itself may strip out the Affiliate Cookie on redirects.
