buidlinkso, there are definitely data entry/processing jobs out there but if you are looking to do them online be VERY, VERY leery of who you deal with. If there is any payment involved (on your behalf) to get yourself started I'd suggest you run the other way and never look back. You should never have to pay someone to work for them and, for the most part, if you "are" required to pay to start work then chances are you'll only get something like a list of names/companies/etc of places that you can apply to in return (ie: you are paying for a list of mostly useless info rather than getting any real 'jobs'). In addition, many (if not all) of these so-called 'jobs' that are on a list are usually obsolete (no longer existent, or worse, never even have been to begin with). I don't mean to burst your bubble but, if you do an online search, you will likely find that almost all data entry/processing jobs (found by way of the net) are simply scams just looking to take your cash. Be safe, NEVER put out money for a job (or anything of that nature) without REALLY, REALLY, REALLY doing your research first (jobs pay you, not the other way around). However, on the other hand, yes, you can find what you are looking for if you go about it the right way; take your time, scour different websites that deal on the subject and, most of all, talk to others who have already "been there and done that" (they will be the ones with enough experience to give you straight goods up front). If you are not sure where to start, try doing a search for the likes of "virtual assistants, virtual assisting, virtual home office" and see what you can find. Virtual assistants (aka: VA's) usually work directly through their homes doing what they do best, and, for many, that includes "legit" data entry and processing work.

Anyway, hope that helps you to some degree. I wish you luck in finding what you are looking for. All the best to you.

    Cheers :)

You are both very welcome. I've never done data entry/processing myself but I did have a keen interest in it at one time and I researched it "high and low" when trying to find out more about it. Unfortunately, for the most part, what I found was not to my liking (nor to my pocketbook). I can't say that I lost much money due to the many scams out there because I checked into the various "offers" before letting any funds leave my hand. To date, I do believe that the most I lost was around $9, and I had a gut feeling (beforehand) that losing my money would be the likely result. However, even knowing that I would likely lose money, I couldn't resist the 'temptation' of finding out what really 'was and was not' so I went ahead and put out the funds just to see what the results would be. Of course, I was not in the least surprised to receive nothing more than a HUGE list with names of companies that 'supposedly' had positions open for data entry/processing. Sure enough, when I checked into these 'companies', most did not even exist and, of the ones that did, those ones didn't even delve into the data entry/processing field whatsoever. I'm not saying there are no data entry/jobs out there (there most certainly are) but, if you are seriously wanting to get involved in it, be very, very sure of which companies you apply with. Right off the bat I can tell you that the likelihood of finding one (a legit one, I mean) advertising openings online is virtually slim to none. The reason for this is that most 'real companies' looking to fill these types of positions do NOT advertise openings such as this online (rarely, anyway). Being that the internet caters to so many millions of people, legit companies would be far to overwhelmed to even deal with the amount of applications they would receive (wow, just imagine). Therefore, "real" companies usually stick with advertising through the likes of newspaper, radio, their OWN websites or, if necessary, directly through routes in their own communities. The internet is a great way to advertise websites (some of which even include actual job openings) but, as for specific job openings being advertised so freely all over the net...not so much. Anyway, to wrap it up, if you keep your eyes and ears open and you should be just fine. And remember these key words, "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is."
