It still baffles me as to why people don't backup their data. Even if it's just onto a $10 USB stick. > Try reading it from a live Linux CD/DVD. If you can see your data, back it up immediately. > Make sure it's not the connection, pull your drive out and try it in another computer > Try chkdsk > Try SpinRite
try addressing method in your os like: "C:/" you will get data back and copy it into other storage devices
