    Hello

My client have a website hosted at hostgator.com, they made application that once they upload Excel file via FTP to their hosting account, data is display in website,

problem is their data is frequently upadatable i.e. in every Minuit so it is not possible to upload file every Minuit,

please let em know if there are any way that we can continually connect with server and whenever we save file in local machine it will automatically update over server, so we dont need upload every time

    thanks

Yes Obviously You Have a Way to Do it! And this Is How I do things Once am Checking My Sites Live after CSS Edits And Some Image Stuffs!

USe FireFTP and once upload the file if it is not yet uploaded, and then click on the file, take open(Or Edit!! I dont know the exact phrase) and you will get the file opened. And now on, when ever you save the file, it will be automatically uploaded! ;)

I Think all FTPs Do It! Yeah They Do! but I am Using FireFtp :p

    Hi,

thanks for your reply but i am not asking this waym, we are not editing file manualy and thus we cant save file everytime, the data change in file automatically, file s connected specific software and it generate automatically,

this is only possible if i directly connect with server so i can give my file location in server instead of my local system

You can do it by using SyncBack (it has a free version), which automatically synchronizes your local files or folders to another (remote) directory.

If you use Dreamweaver, you could set it up in the same manner that FrontPage offers extensions. This way when you edit the webpage and save it, it will automatically copy the file through the backend.

This sounds like a job for WebDAV, though I don't know if HostGator supports it or not. I would just set up a WebDAV folder on the local machine and have the spreadsheet save to that folder, every save in that local folder will appear in the website.
