how to get better paid clicks?

Any tips and suggestions on what I can do, if anything, to get higher payouts per click on my adsense ads? Currently I have some ads with high CTR but extremely low payment, down to a cent a click, so its not giving much. On the other hand, I have some ads with low CTR but rather high payment for each click.. Is it possible to turn it around and get more for the clicks?

just write about what you know about and keep your blog true to yourself. if you sell out on your own blog you may be forced to write something you don't know about and if you end up not having anything more to write and your content isn't that great, advertisers will loose interest in your page and you will be back to square one.

so write about what you like and you will eventually get paid. just keep the content up.

content = more readers = more loyal readers = better traffic and payouts.

Use the google adwords keyword tool. Enter your keywords, choose the "cost and ad position estimates" option for data to display, enter 100 for the amount of USD, then click get more keywords. Then optimize your site for the highest paying keywords in your topic/niche.

(edit: added the link, which I forgot the first time)

it depends on the traffic. quality traffic results in higher paying clicks.

traffic from search engines are considered quality traffic and you will get higher CPC.

where the ads is displayed :p i suggest you to place the ads above the fold for better CTR. It also depends on how's your site structure and design. For example, if your site is about articles then put the ads end of article and right/left side. You won't get much of clicks if you put it on top of articles and you'll scare your visitors away.

Or at the bottom or center of your page (don't put it below the "fold"!). Google will crawl your content 1st and then will choosing the related ads for your keywords!

Do a google search for seo keyword optimization. You want to optimize the keywords for both adsense AND search engines. This way, you will get search engine traffic looking for the same info that your ads are presenting and this will improve your click thru rate as well.

The deficit of keyword research tools is that you can't search by price, it's backwards. You're in the dark about actual profitability.
