    The best way to get backlinks is to find out about the top ranking domain with the same niche. Go to google and type link:websitename.com See from where it is getting the backlinks. Just visit those sites and try getting links from them.

    Try to post comments on good do-follow blogs and you would have fair amount of back links.

    Article Marketing, blog commentating, blog posting, forum posting, link exchanges... it can take over 12 months to build enough backlinks to rank well in your chosen keywords.

    You can build backlinks from social bookmarking sites and through article submission.

    This is a great way to get links. You can also visit DOFOLLOW blogs and forums and leave a relevant comment. For example, if you're running a technology site visit technology blogs and comment on their articles leaving a link to your site.
