Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try this one. Anyway, I was thinking about this a while ago. My father is a college professor and asked me to do an online web apps for the university. Then it hit me, what if I offer this web apps for free and schools would use it? I could get backlinks from .edu site. Just sharing some ideas. ^_^
1: The adison.edu domain is now already in the spotlight and with Google frowning upon paid links do you think that this particular domain has any benefit? 2: Just because a domain ends with .edu does not mean it's automatically more powerful then a .com or other extension. 3: Because .edu metrics are being integrated in tools from people that are respected in the SEO industry doesn't automatically mean that every .edu backlink is a powerful backlink. You're generalizing here. Sure...
"Fancy a link on PR5 NASA.Gov forum? Here you go: "Click Sorry, I could not find any forum there or chance do add my link. Thanks
This thread is 4 months old. I showed you the way to search and the links were just an example. If they don't work its because the links simply changed or the forums were taken down because of all the spam they were probably getting thanks to this thread. Search for some yourself guys.
Google does not give an extra value too edu links but there is a rumor that yahoo does.I had some edu links but did not seen a boost on rankings before and after.
Every time I see a post for something like "How to get backlinks from Edu and Gov domains." I notice that the places you can actually link from are flooded with spam.
