I see several blogs on Technorati with authority of 50+, but when I go to the blogs they just seem like regular, small-time, rather uninspired pages. How did they get authority? Is it from people favorite-ing the blog on Technorati? Is there some way to get people to do that? I think mine should have more authority but it has zero...
They most likely got more authority because they create links to posts from other blogs with high authority. This increases the chances of more people linking back to their own blog.
Well since I wrote the first post in this thread, I got a subscriber to one of my blogs. My authority doesn't seem to have changed, but maybe it's just a matter of time, chipping away and chipping away.
Thanks - simple idea but one I hadn't even thought of. You mean like if I link to a popular blog, the link will show in their comments section with the [...] brackets? (I've seen those, though all the ones I've gotten on my own blogs seem to be spam.)
The more (high authority) links you have to your blog, the better your Technorati rating and authority will be
May be you can try participating in some viral trains like this - not crappy ones but the quality ones like this great blog posts train
good linking is the key to get autority in technoraty . particypate in blogger comunities like blogcatalog
