Wanted to ask you how sites, like estibot.com, valuate.com make a valuation of a domain name? Where they get the domains popularity, search keywords for this and so on? I have about 1500 names for valuation, is there a way get this valuation for free?

    Hi gosha

These automated domain estimation services make use of data gathered from a number of sources on the web, unfortunately none of them are accurate. You should not pay much attention to valuations from these online services. In the majority of instances they are wrong, either which way.

The best way to get an accurate appraisal is to find a company who will do this manually. Typically this company will ask access to your stats, e.g. Analytics, they will ask proof of income, they will compare with sources such as domain trading companies and more. If they do this right, you will get an estimated valuation after a few weeks, which could then give you some idea of what your domain may be worth to traders as well as an estimated value to an end-buyer.
