I am getting a bit frustrated. I have been getting a feel for the whole CPA marketing through PPC campaigns idea, researching, building keyword lists, etc. I have a healthy advertising budget, and so much motivation and desire to succeed with this that I could bottle and sell it. I'm oozing with excitement, and I just want a little guidance. I've started with an AM named Jason... for a reason unknown to me it changed to Bryan today. I have written detailed e-mails to both of them detailing what I am attempting to do - what my budget is, how I'm marketing it, etc - just trying to feel them out to see if I am on the right track because I am just starting to get heavy into affiliate marketing. I have not yet heard back from anyone, and I am tempted to just switch all of my efforts to COPEAC's program instead. If anyone wants to earn the friendship of a long time internet earner - who is willing to bend over backwords to help in return, please throw me a bone. I'm working off of a KW list that is about 600 phrases long. I have the CPC ads pointing to my own domain with the landing page of the offer framed. I'm using AdWords, AdCenter and Y! to drive traffic. If anyone is willing to talk to me in detail about what a successful campaign consists of, top to bottom - please drop me a PM. I don't need to be spoon fed, but I do need to know that I am on the right track, and if I'm not - which direction to steer the ship. Thanks for the read - hoping to meet one of you generous folks and absorb some of your knowledge. You're kindness will not go unnoticed.
I assume you are talking about an Azoogle AM? If that's the case, email them and ask to switch AMs. A different AM can be a day and night difference in your experience w/ whatever network you use. From your post, it sounds like you already tried two different AMs @ Azoogle. If your third AM still doesnt work out or you are already too frustrated, try a different network, there are more than one CPA network out there. Most networks syndicate similar offers so you shouldnt have too much difficulty in terms of getting the right offers. Each network has their own advantages. In any case, sometimes its better to be a big fish in a small pond...
Just start doing well, and they will switch you off to one of the high volume AMs. Those guys really know their stuff...
They have switched me a lot too, but I am now with Fraser. I heard good things about him. Good luck with the AM's and hopefully you get it worked out. I'm sure someone in Azoogle can help you.
Seems to me like what you're asking is to be spoon fed. Dude look, when I first started... I had 0 help from anybody, not even my affiliate manager. It was like being thrown into a dark room with no light switch. I'm sure a lot of us have started with zero to little help as well. Affiliate managers can only help you to an extent, hence "manager" and not "trainer" or "teacher". Just think of it this way, an affiliate manager is not your bridge to being a successful affiliate. Plus if you're really willing to bend over backwards and you say you have a passion for this stuff, why would a crappy affiliate manager prevent you from making money? Not to be mean or harsh or anything, but I'd say quit moaning and get going.
That's the thing blue - I am going. I've read the BS, I'm experimenting. As with any web venture, I reasearch, apply, tweak - then repeat. The general idea is not anything new - and I will be successful with or without the help of my Azoogle AM - but having one committed to my success would expedite things. What I don't understand is, if these guys are commission based on how well I do with the program, wouldn't they want to make sure they are earning the most by helping? Don't you think that if I intend to drive several thousand dollars worth of traffic a month to their offers, that I deserve at least some acknowledgment when I send an e-mail requesting information. I'm not asking for them to build my landing pages, or give me the uber secret keyword list. All I am wanting is for my AM to listen to how I am doing things, and offer feedback. So blue, I'm proud of you for "finding your way in the dark" - but it doesn't have to be like that. And perhaps I can answer your question. "why would a crappy affiliate manager prevent you from making money" It won't prevent me from making money, but it won't help me either. They have experience with hundreds of campaigns and several clients. This probably gives them the leg up on what works and what doesn't... don't ya think? You have me curious now blue, if an AM isn't supposed to be your "bridge" to success - then whats the point of having one? Perhaps you don't ask enough questions... and that could be why you are still a puppy - "not to be harsh or anything"
Well you answered your own questions right there. My affiliate manager didn't really acknowledge me until I broke a certain point. I think it's earning the respect that is your problem, if you're new, it's plain and simple they probably won't care too much if they don't know you. And we don't have to make this a flame war or anything lol, it's constructive criticism. And your reference to my post... I guess plain text doesn't express sarcasm too well.
I had Jason as well, who I think just left the company, since I have a new AM too. I share your frustration, as Jason never responded to several calls or emails, despite an open invitation to woo my business away from CJ.
I just got a new AM. My last one who just left the company was not too awful helpful other than telling me to replace adsense with azoogle ads.
Azoogle does switch reps around a lot, I am on my 3rd rep already in 9 months I wonder why they keep changing reps....
Jason was a good rep for me. The reason why you switched off is because Jason left Azoogle so his affiliates got passed around.
