How to get Alexa rank?

After a few weeks, it will start to show. I used it on my blogs and site.

 

Alexa has a widget that follows your web site but where do you get the widget??

it is said some ppl reinstall the toolbar to get higher alexa rankings

 

Alexa is WORTHLESS and nobody should ever talk seriously about their flawed ranking system.

If you want to get rank, just install the toolbar and get a few of your relatives and friends to do the same and tell them to go to your site once a day and you will all of the sudden show huge traffic.

Alexa is a joke.

 

ruffnat: Yes it is flawed but, in the blog world, you must have the lowest one so that advertising services can give you a better ranking. You have to live with that. Ideally, it should be incorporated into browsers but that's another matter.

 

alexa is BS coz a site with 1000 visitors per day can rank far better than one with 4000 visitors per day just because of the amount of users using their toolbar. i really find alexa irrelevant and i use it only when no other proof of traffic is available.

 

any advertising services that would rely on Alexa are stupid,


show me one that relies on alexa for ranking??

 

Unless your site goes from:

0-2 Million viewers in 1 day, you won't make it into the "movers and shakers" section, which is the only part of Alexa anybody actually looks at.

BTW:

If you do get that many visitors, your rank won't be your concern. It will be you server crashing.

even if you have lot of page views everyday. not necessarily unique users. instead lot of page views.. you will rank will increase.

my site geturfile.com has visitors to my forum and they see lot of pages on my forum.

my site rank is around 149000 change.

IT definetly depends on the pages being viewed by the users as well.

I don't get too many visitors. But still my rank is good enough.

Install the alexa widget and install the alexa toolbar.

Also people searching with an alexa toolbar will help raise it.

Yes it need an Alexa toolbar so as to send stats back to Alexa.

Word of advice, do not subscribe to any Alexa auto-surfing service. Not unless you do not want to participate in Google Adsense as Google will "ban" sites from registering for their Adsense if it has ever used auto-surf or auto-hit services.

 

I wonder if you can set up a script to visit an Alexa-tagged link to your site, then run a command for "back" in the browser, then visit the link again, etc. and let it run all night

 

Alexa Rankings? Don't focus on it... SERPs and your traffic.. You must focus on them. These alexa ranking are just a bunch of unaccurate result it has nothing to do with SERPs.
