Hello there I am working with a company and we are launching a new affiliate program, the one major question is how do you propose we get a lot of affiliates. We are going to run it through cj.com and have money if needed but I just need a solid way to generate lots of solid affiliates. Any one have any good ideas? Also it may help to mention that it is a company that offers website tracking services....

You're going to have to go out and recruit. Best bet is to target those who are ranking for your products/services and convince them to give you a shot. Being new you'll need to be persuasive as to why they should take the time and hassle to switch over to you. Don't count on cj doing any recruiting for you past listing your program.

Depending on the niche you can approach websites that rank in Google and Yahoo, under your keywords, and ask them if they want to be an affiliate. You have to do this in the right way, you can't be obnoxious at all you have to be really cool, short, and to the point. The response rate generally isn't great but when you get a good webmaster to join and start putting your banners up its worth it. Another way is to meet people on forums. You can also send an email blast to all your CJ non-joined affiliates but that will cost you $5-6,000, but I think its worth it. Affiliate are all around you just have to know how to work it. Being helpful and friendly to your affiliates and prospective affiliates is a must! If they like you and you help them they will produce for you. Let me know if you want to discuss further.
