uk.php.net and look at how to set cookies (setcookie), check if they're set (isset) and check their value. just compare the time of the cookie (set it with time()) to the current time. if the page appears to have been reloaded too quickly then load alternative adverts or no adverts.

I don't use joomla; I custom code, and on one site use drupal, but joomla/mambo is made from php so it shouldn't be hard to integrate such a check into the module or within the template if php templates are used.

There is <0.000001% mistake google can ban you for click bomb , in other cases its just the publisher who try to cheat the system and are kicked out.
And if you still worried try out the external trackers like addfreestats and check ur stats for 30mins/day. when u see some suspicious activity report google.
You are out of the risk.

I'm not actually sure that Google bans for multiple clicks anyway - unless it can see them coming from the IP adress that the account is administrated from.

Google is a responsible company and it understands that if it started banning accounts for multiple clicks then any "rival" or individual with a grudge could simply click away on the adverts to get their competitor banned.

Take this scenario - many of you on here put URLS in your signatures. Now if Astrovineet takes exception to any of your comments he could simply go to your website and click away on your Ads. If he's clever he goes to a cafe to do it.

Google would NOT allow that to become a potential banning offence.

Multiple clicking is NOT a reason to ban, google would simply not pay the commission on the clicks if it had suspicions - so I doubt this guys story. Chances are he was clicking his own ads from his own com.

but google has been known to ban genuine publishers who were victims of click-bombs. of course, they were reinstated after human investigation.

Serious note: check your site in Firefox because it looks a mess, although fine in IE. Also your pop-under advert doesn't work... it just showed SQL errors.

    Dear Astrovineet,
We have had personal first hand experience in this regard.

Our website client was banned and they lost $75 as google banned the site ads. Ofcourse they had done some nice clicks of 75 on a few pages.

The good news is that we wrote to google again but from a different mail id and the site was accepted back. We have warned our client not to do fraud clicks anymore.

Tip: work on the load speed for your page. It's slow to load, this can be a big turn off for visitors (as well as the weird looking banner).

Also, if you don't use site stats script that has path analysis then find one that does so you can see how long people are staying at your site and what pages are making them interested, or if they're exiting immediately.

They're likely to get banned at again at audit time.
