Try to write a unique content... try infusing images and if possible infographics to your content.
Perform On Page SEO to your content and try to make each article or post on your website at least 800 words or more(the lengthier the better)..

Create up to 15 articles, have a nice about page.. Then try applying for Adsense again...
    Let me know the result

Just create SEO friendly website by using a good theme and add 10 to 15 articles related to your niche of around 500 to 1000 words each..add good navigation for good user experience...and use more text than images...do not use videos at all before adsense approval..keep your blog clear and add quality content...then apply for adsense account for approval..!!! even if it not approved try to work on their recommendation and apply again after few days..they will surely approve your adsense account..!! you can get more information in below post..!

I have had many unsuccessful attempts in adsense, but in the end I was accepted a few weeks ago
from my experience I can tell you:
    - it was a blog, but even not in English (I had heard they only approve sites in English or other major languages )
    - the blog was 3-4 months old
    - there were 14-16 articles in total
    - traffic was 8-10 unique per day, but only organic
What did it matter in my opinion?
    -
length of articles (800 - 900 words) and unique content
    - the organic positioning, all the articles were well positioned on google
    Good luck

    Buy a custom domain name.
Use Google apps to create a domain specific email address.
    Add pages like About, Contact.
Ensure you use a clean BlogSpot design.
Have at least 10-15 well-written blog posts.
Ensure you don’t use copyright images. (If you have copied images from Google search, go back & delete it from your blog)
Ensure your sidebar looks clean & professional.
