How to get ads placed in a phpbb forum according to the hotmap?

Can someone go through the steps to get each of these tips up and running? AKA, how to edit the phpbb templates to get the adsense in these places?

 

There's a good mod you can find at the official phpbb forums called inline banner ad.

Also - I would post this at the official phpbb forum, you'll get more responses I believe.
