How to get a vanity URL in my Google+ profile?

I need to change my Google plus profile URL. it looks odd when some numbers are in my URL. I need to change it with my name. https://plus.google.com/username/post like this i need. I know some sites like gplus.to etc will generate URL, but they are not Google's site. They just created a URL with my name which will redirect me to my profile but i need a URL like this https://plus.google.com/username/post. What are steps i have to do? Please explain.

 

The requirements are minimal to get these custom URLs:

• Has a profile photo, and
• Has at least 10 followers, and
• Has an account that's at least 30 days old

However, you have to consider the following as well:

I left the above image really big to emphasize that Google can change their mind and revoke the name or make you pay for it in the future. But for now you can claim one. The steps are outlined below:

1. Contact your Google Rep. If you do not have one, contact the tech support. They can push it through (1-866-2-GOOGLE, prompt #6).
2. The submission and approval process can take up-to 3 days.

if you check inside of your Google + account, you may possibly see the option of changing your Google plus URL address into a vanity address. I'm not sure if they will charge you a the possibly, but it's well worth looking into.
