Just go to the www.paypal.com site and sign up by filling out the required details. If you have a credit card, you will become a verified customer. Otherwise you remain unverified. You are supposed to give an email id for registration. Generally people give a safe and secure mail id like gmail for this purpose. You will learn more details regarding transaction etc at the paypal site. Good luck:)

    Belongs in general chat.

Isn't it a bit obvious you go to paypal's website to join?

I know the question wasn't directed at me but thought I would put my input as I like to help out where I can.

You can send and receive money as unverified but you will have restrictions as to how much you can send or receive when your unverified. If you go over $xxx amount in a month you will not be able to send or receive anymore monies.

Let me correct you on this lostmckeag. If you have unverified paypal account then there is only sending limit and withdrawal limit but at the same time you can receive any amount there (unlimited receiving limit).

    DON.

Paypal never intended the Unverified to be a permanent status but the brief period while you wait for the verification process to complete. In the US, it means adding a bank account and in most other countries, you will need a credit card. Unverified means that Paypal does not trust you because you have not provide evidence to proof you are who you say you are.

    right !

But you can don't need verify pp account if you want. Paypal will limit your account if you have many transactions :)
