Your best bet is to search the blogs that relate to your niche, get involved with some quality posts and then contact the blog owner via email. Tell him you enjoy his blog and would love to be a guest on his blog and he can be a guest on your blog (if you have one).
I would pick your topic google it along with this in quotes "powered by wordpress", then start bookmarking the sites.
E-mail site authors in your niche and give them a piece of your writing and let them know what makes you different. From what I have seen, many try to get guest posting simply by sending an e-mail but not saying why they will add value to the author.
you can try signing up on free blogs/wpmu sites as well if in case you cant find enough blogs to guest comment on. This way you can also post your articles and you also have control on them.
