I have a hosted blog, and looking guys are saying that a blog should also be optimized for search engines to have more traffic by getting good position in SERPs. Can I optimize my hosted blog or just to have backlinks for it will be assumed as optimization. Thanks
The way to optimize hosted is not different from optimize common website. However, hosted blog like Blogger / Wordpress.com are not reliable. Since it is not owned by you from the beginning, your blog can be removed anytime, both with and without reason. If you are serious about promote the site I would recommend to buy a domain and hosted on your own.
