    Try to get visitor not PR. Bcz its only visitor who pays you not Google PR. :)

    don't sell links in google eyes its not a good act.
    U can request link exchanging at different webmaster forums.

    Directory, social bookmarking, article writing can increase ur pr. but content is everything if u have good content and meta tags then surely SE will drive high traffic
