I have tried link exchange, but most of the site owners with higher PR seem don't like the link exchange way. Is there any other method to do or how to go further to exchange links? ------------------------ Tips for keywords Marketing
One way would be to just pay for links from higher PR, once your PR will be higher, you could sell your links for more...
Google do not link paid links, and google penalizes sites for doing such thing. Google also do not like link exchanges. I suggest you try natural link building methods. Add fresh content in your site, people finding it useful will link to your site, and you will get free and natural links
Do not give up request for link exchange to high PR site. At the same time, ask for exchange with the website with potential to get high PR
I just don't get, why everyone is so much obsessed with Page Rank. What a webmaster should be interested in is visitors, not numbers. Build pages for human beings and you get links almost automatically. PR follows naturally. Doing it the other way around is putting the horse in front of the cart.
Yeah, the only way for you to increase your PageRank is to get more quality links. You will need lots of links to further increase it. If you are getting quality links, than the numbers could be less.
Google's PageRank (PR) is one of the most sought after, and yet misunderstood web page attributes. PageRank, named after one of the founders of the Google search engine, Larry Page, was the innovative foundation that the Google search engine was built on. The theory was that a link from one web page to a web page of another site was in essence a vote for that page. The reasoning was that webmasters would only link to pages that they thought were interesting and of value to their viewers. Google used the number of inbound links (IBL) to a page to judge the importance and relevance of that page, and based on this calculation, and other factors, decided where to place that page on the search results page (SERP). They devised a scale of measurement for PageRank from 1 to 10. Then for the information of webmasters and interested people they produced a toolbar that can be deployed in Internet Explorer that indicates the PageRank value of any page being viewed in the browser. These values have become known as PR0 to PR10. Since PR values are a result of IBLs, Google decided to give them their own name and refers to inbound links as backlinks. As part of the toolbar there is a quick lookup of the number of backlinks that Google reports for the page that is currently being viewed in the browser. This search can also be done without the aid of the toolbar by simply typing "link:http://www.yourURL.com" into the Google search box.
You don't need to get higher PR sites to link to you to increase your PR. However, the higher a PR a site has that is linking to you, the more weight it will carry. For every level of PR, you need exponentially more links. So, for PR6, you would need 10k-30k inbound links more than you did for PR5. I agree with the others that your site's content should be first priority and links will come later.
I've never paid for a link and I have a PR 6 site with numerous PR 6 inner pages it's not hard just create content people want to link to example would be free stuff, the links will pour in and so will the traffic and trust me traffic is more important then a little green line in your toolbar.
Google does not like paid links. Just make your linking very natural. Make great content and when people would like it, links will just come in.
