    No honey, even if your twitter, facebook or even blogcatalog profile page has a pagerank of 5 or 6, it is not going to fetch you any kind of backlink for your site. All these site's inner links are no-follow links and they do not have any importance in your link building process or the SEO. So just forget about these links and better concentrate of actually implementing some plan for link building and SEO ;)

    The link that the twitter end user sees is nofollow, but Google does count links in tweets, and they're weighted based on a social algorithm. They don't crawl them, they actually receive the data directly from twitter in real time.

    FB and Twitter are also a great way to network with people, build a following and distribute your new content so that people can link to it naturally.
