well, you have 33 guests... so theirs plenty of people seeing the site. Apparently, they don't like what they see if their not signing up. Some things people look for before joining a forum: Appearance - is the site easy to read and looks good Activity - nobody wants to be the first person at a party Atmosphere - a positive atmosphere and a good mood in posts Just a few tips.
I agree. If you really want popualrity go to WebBBS. I found it is unbeatable for building up a core audience. I ended up switching all to Invisionboard because it's easier to maintain but WebBBS sure gets participatioin quickly - if you don't have popups. I lost SO many people when I did even a minor popup...
the biggest thing to remember whilst trying to make a forum more popular is that people only really ever sign up to active forums. So ensure you are posting new content on it everyday. Maybe worth signing up with a few different usernames and talking to yourself for a bit lol. You might feel a bit crazy but if you don't have a heap of internet friends to help you post - sometimes its the only way!
^^ Hehehe... I see you now have 65 members from the 49 when u posted. That's progressive if you ask me. I'd say give it time and keep the activities in your forums. It always got to do with how appealing a forum is and discussions in it to get visitors' attention. Good luck with the forum!
