How to get 1k unique visitor from google without adwords or paying anything

Hi,

Actuaaly it is really impressive to see all technical people here. I am having a website www.jitgroups.com, online since april01, 2005. However still now I am not getting anywhere near 1k unique, something around 150 to 280 on an average, that's also not unique.

The site has:
www.jitgroups.com/articles
www.jitgroups.com/fun //photos
www.jitgroups.com/friendfinder //just launched
www.jitgroups.com/blog etc.

Can you please guide me with your helpfull suggestions - what I have to do..
By the way, I am not in a position to pay anything so all suggestions should lead to free traffic generation only.

 

Start by submitting your site to all free directories. Add a lot of content to your site and keep it updated. Also, remove those annoying popups.

 

yes, i hate it. always i ban those sites if they have popup.

 

submit your site to article directories, web directories, join forums and participate, submit your site to social network sites..

 

Velocity .... I have deleted the popup from the site... however the popunder from freeviral.com for traffic is still there... do i have to delete that one too..?

 

Remove the pop up, Submiit your site to web Directory and Social Network Sites also.

And keep it updated.

 

Do not particpate in any traffic programmes. You will get your adsense banned.

 

you should improve you page design.or the visitor may never come back.

 

Rank your keywords on SERPs (keywords that can drive a huge traffic) plus good marketing strategy.

 

Also make sure any link exchanges you make have different but relevant anchor text. ?

Not hijacking or anything, but doeS anyone have a list of good directories to submit too, or know where there is one?

 

Need to redo your design and templates, make it simple and attractive. Directory submission and getting quality links.Update your site with good contents.

what do you mean by traffic programmes?

 

Try to make inbound links and some SEO will gives you traffic from organic listing.

 

He means traffic exchanges - eg. organised programs where you pay money/earn credits by visiting sites and you get visits to your site in return. AdSense don't like this way of artificially ramping up your clicks and impressions.

 

I would have thought you would know. You should look in the directoy submission pages. There are some excellent directories but can be quite costly.

Normal directories seldom send you traffic.. article directories send a bit of traffic unless its a really good article. However, these tactics will bring you inbound links that in turn, boost up your SERP for your targeted keywords

Concentrate on thinking how to link bait.

 

Do organic SE traffic, it gives higher traffic if your site is in the top SERP than conventional methods, but it takes time. Try to put your site in bookmarking sites and ads to improve traffic.

 

if you really want traffic, you must link build your site through forums, directories, and articles etc. But there is no 100% that in that traffic you get a Good conversion for your site...
