I'm working on a keyword tutorial video for my blog, so once it's uploaded i'll let you know. I hope this will help you.

BUT to keep you from waiting, yeah I've used like many other dp users the google keyword tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal). For me, the most effective way to use it is by trying different keywords that are related or very close to your content

so for example in my case, my main keyword is "brainwave synchronization". So what you do is sort the order of the global monthly search volume, highest views on top. copy paste the relevant keywords into a notepad doc. Try to find <50% "advertising competition" relevant keywords with high views. I know this is more for Adwords, but it can help you. Do the same again with another keyword like for example "brainwaves", "brain wave", "synchronizer", etc... Until you get around 50 keywords. After that it's all about using all your collected keywords. Check some keywords out on google. If you get zillions of results, it will be super hard to rank high, and that's when you might wanna start advertising like a pro (=$$$$).

some small suggestion: try using your keywords with spelling mistakes, especially if your niche is popular with kids (games for example). You have no idea how many people make spelling mistakes (including me!:) )

    I hope this will help

thank you, it's for you guys that i'm doing this anyway.

    DAY 3 update:

Today I've been social bookmarking all night long. Got the feeling that I'll have to keep doing this all week long, if not longer. It's a lot of work but worth it.
I should really start writing articles this week tho, but haven't found time to do this yet.

On some levels i've noticed a lot of progress. I seem starting to get more views from stumbleupon, reddit and direct traffic. My video has been ranking higher on google (top 2nd page) and on youtube I rank often nr 1 or 2 (with only 24 views lol).

    Current stats:
google adsense: 188 page impressions and 6 clicks (= $1.16)
google analytics stats: 152 visits, 146 absolute visits, 219 pageviews, 91% new visitors. views come most from: stumble upon, reddit, direct traffic, DP, blogger.

conclusion: visits keep increasing (+108% in general) and new traffic sources
    final stats report tomorrow.

    Sorry for the late reply.

I mean , on his blog google ads are placed right above an image. In my knowledge it is against google TOS.

The google ads right below "Find out More on Brainwave Synchronization HERE."
    is the one I mentioned.

How do you ensure that whatever you have posted in the social networking sites work and people actually read them?

that's not my main concern to be honest. When you look at Digg, you'll see millions of articles with only 1 digg or maybe 2. I've did the test myself, 2 weeks ago, I found this really exclusive webcam video footage from a well known musician. Posted it on Digg and got not more than 1 digg lol! So I wouldn't really count on that... My main purpose is to create backlinks, lots of them!

BUT if you do want to ensure that people will read your article/post:

    1. use capital letters (it's not always allowed, but it attracts peoples attention)
    2. use questions ie. "Do you know what X could do to you? Have you ever...?
    3. please AVOID posts like: "Make 3000 a day!", "Best website ever"
    4. put a url in your description section
    5. Shock people (legally/ethically...!)
    6. Play with readers emotions
    7. Be social, Rate and comment other people's comments
    8. Be social, add friends on digg for example, interact.
    ...

@fdamours: I bookmark EVERY PAGE from all my websites and blogs. I ping all of them as well. I try to social bookmark 1 url to 50 websites. As many urls I can a day by using multiple accounts etc...

Quick report for today day 4:

Did a lot of bookmarking, that's it :) Finally got relevant google ads! so i'm very happy! got 5 clicks (around $1) at the moment, a bit less traffic compared to yesterday. More laterzzzzzzz
