I felt that you had some great points, but the question is do the man hours and time to generate traffic outweigh the cost of advertising. Everyone would rather pay nothing to get exposure but will you get credibility from ads or word of mouth. These are questions that need to be addressed before going in any direction. It seems that the best way to do it is to use a little of both payed and free traffic building strategies.
