how to generate traffic on my website using facebook

    I have got a new website to promote my freelance writing services. I want to promote it using Facebook.
    Can anybody tell me how to generate traffic to my website using Facebook.

    Create a page on facebook. Add links their. Also add links on your profile. Make your profile content public so that other user (who are not your friends ) can see it. You will get traffic.

    Facebook helps a lot in driving ‘targeted traffic’ to your website.
    A few ways of getting traffic
    1. Create an interesting profile using your Business name (prefer NOT to use your niche as your username)
    2. Publish quality wall posts (informative, engrossing and try to add fun angle into it)
    3. Join niche related groups and invite people to join your community
    4. Respond to comments and requests responsibly
    5. Handle criticism with good spirit (do not delete negative comments, in fact use them to strengthen your credibility)
    6. Facebook is very active channel (if you missed to respond on time, you may lose the game)
    7. Talk about your website and provide a website link wherever required (but do not throw it everywhere on your wall)

    Hey there. The best way to get traffic to your site using Facebook is to create an ad campaign and link it to your website. You can micro target down to you city if you want to work in town, or since you are a freelance writer you may want to target companies that need technical writing etc. Perhaps you can target only bloggers and help them write content. I would play with the target feature on FB ads an see what works best for you. you dont' have to spend a lot of money to use FB advertising effectively.

    With your fan page you can 'jump start' fans numbers with free like exchange websites.

    To get traffic, you need Facebook connections. I've had great success getting "Likes" with Facebook Ads.
