Google has declared that Meta tags are not that much important now. So it will be better for you to hire a professional SEO company and ask them to work for you.

Also your website should be having good content with keywords. Also setup a blog section in your website If it doesn't have.

I can suggest you some companies If you want.

As you told that your website is clothing based so first you need to optimize client's review. Don't leave each client without giving fruitful reviews. Reviews will raise brand prestige and help to increase organic traffic. Make content based SEO strategy and embed with each product. Try to provide every information about each product. Keep refer facility for regular visitors and invite them to refer your website's name to their mutual friends.

For generating traffic for e-commerce websites first a detailed competitor analysis and competitor benchmarking analysis is required after that-
Optimizing your site for search engines
    Regularly updating your products
Taking advantage of Link resource creation
    Using social media
Getting links with other sites with your niche
Use any chance to promote your site for free
    Using viral advertising
    Using offline promotion

For generating organic traffic, these are the steps which may help you if performed suitably:
    1. Having a live website with a good hosting provider
    2. The design of the website should be user friendly with a good theme and easily navigating pages.
    3. Having high quality unique content in the website helps in user engagement.
    4. Make sure that your website has less loading time. It is recommended to have loading time less than 5 seconds.
    5. Keyword research for an e-commerce website should be done in depth as it directly effects the search engine rankings.
    6. The website should have a proper OnPage Optimization Strategy by optimizing meta-tags for each page, headers, relevant content, image alt tags, adding images and videos.
    7. Creating a sitemap for the website and making sure that the robot.txt file does not block any target pages on search engines.
    8. Engaging on Social Media Websites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram
with relevant and engaging posts with images, videos, infographics and good content.
    9. Interacting with your audience through your social media networks for generating traffic.
    10. The website should have appropriate OffPage Optimization which includes a high-end back-link analysis with high quality back-links to improve your rankings on search engines.

You must go for that fruit that is hanging in the lowest height.
Make sure that your post must have consistency.
Use guest blog for gaining traffic.
Avoid using cheap and inbound links.

The pages can still rank well in the search engines if you integrate a brief original article into the content. Just 200 to 300 words of search engine optimized unique content can place your product pages ahead of your competition.

The above responses are all very critical to ensuring the success of an e-commerce site. I would like to add that duplicate content can be an issue on shopping sites that can have hundreds of pages of similar text. As a rule of thumb, every product page and description should be unique to each other, and should come with at least a few hundred words of text if you want the best results for ranking them in search engines.

You must silo your website properly and choose which products you have are gonna sell the most and do SEO on that particular silo for example:
    Black T-Shirt
    >>Large
    >>>> brand xxxxx
    >>>>brand yyyy
    >> Medium
    >> Small

if black T-shirt is a profitable keyword then you have to build links to the black t-shirt page.... or anywhere below that.

If you create effective silo link juice will revolve around that silo and it will rank easier......

    Hope it helps you.

    Hi There!

Working for an eCommerce Platform, my clients have told me the following in regards to social media growth:

    Social Media Share Tools

Adding social media share tools to your product pages can help produce fast results if you want active shoppers engaging with you on social media. Share tools also gives you vital data on your customers.

You can obtain demographic and psychographic data on your customers based on what they like and share.

    User-Generated Content (UGC)

UGC is a great way to build a following. Just make sure you communicate with your customers when they tag your company or use one of your hashtags. You can incentivize your customers to share by offering discounts when they share products. This will really get the ball rolling and you’ll start to see followers pour in.

UGC is also great for SEO purposes and building trust to your site, which in turn, can lead to more followers.

    Run a Social Media Promotion

Promotions through social media can be fun for all customers. Competition can really get the engines running and social media is perfect for this. Not only will you receive likes and shares, but you’ll also gather interest data on your customers. Below are some simple examples of what you can run.

    • Like and win
    • Share and win
    • Take a survey and receive 20% next purchase
    • Instagram photo competition - “Show us your favorite (product) in action and win! Be sure to use our hashtag (#) to qualify.”
    Engage Customers through Social Media

Communicate with your customers! Customers enjoy it when companies talk to them on social media. It makes them feel special, so if they mention your company, thank them and maybe add a little discount to capture more interest.

Building loyalty and trust goes a long way for eCommerce stores. Make sure you are just as active as your customers.

You should constantly post on social media to create buzz around your brand. Post deals, promotions, codes, new products, favorite products, etc. Let your customers know you’re around and communicate with them. Use some blogs or articles as well. Post interesting stories and get involved in the scene.

    Hope this helps!
