Hi, I am a newbie in the Adwords game and I have a question: I have two affiliate campaigns which are currently profitable, though only on a small number of sales: one sold two copies and the other three. I would like to generate more impressions and thereby more clicks so I can see if they are truly profitable or just experienced beginners luck. I raised my daily budget for both of them (currently 40$-50$ each), but that didn't do the trick (even though google said the budget was OK). In some ad groups I hold positions 1-4, so I don't think increasing the CPC is the answer. My Quality Score runs from great to OK and I have CTR in the area of 3%. What can I do to raise the number of impressions? Thanks in advance, Jonathan
If you want to generate more impressions you can either add more keywords or up your spend (daily or on a CPC level).
getting more impressions is easy, add more keywords and up your budget as GFC said but is that really what you want? more impressions/clicks doesn't always mean more sales. I would focus on getting as much targeted, quality traffic as i could, by quality i mean people more likely to buy the products you are selling. I would put quite a lot of keywords on exact match. for example [buy red widget] then you know people clicking on your ad are your target audience and much more likely to buy, rather that a high volume of non quality traffic.
Or maybe you could try another service that sends keyword driven traffic but charges less than google, this should give you a lot of keywords to play with
it's not only adding keywords. One should aim at the high paying adsense keywords. First analyze the PPC listings and then you have to make sure that all your keywords are tightly related to the key logo.
