How To Generate Income For Your Site?

I'm a real business 'noob'. I'm not sure how to generate income from a website. I know you put adverts on your site from adsense or what ever but nobody clicks on these.

So could someone please briefly explain the fundamentals in making money from your website.

You don't have to convert traffic into $$$. It will convert it self.

I don't know if you understood what he meant. Traffic = the amount of people who visit your site. If you have ads placed in the right areas with interesting titles, then people will be willing to click on it. If you have more people visiting the site, your chances are greater that people will be interested in your ads, thus bringing in $$$.

For ways to get more traffic, I would suggest reading up on some SEO tactics, and maybe submitting your site to social networks and such.

 

Social networks can be the strongest means to get traffic these days. More than textlinkads or what not.

Just have a good website where there would constantly be visitors coming to your website... When you have enough traffic, then you can start monetizing your website. Or... You could always start an online business.. That might work as well

 

I agree with statement that say traffics is mean money. It's too easy to monetize your traffic. Join with primary advertising network is fast way to generate money for your site.

 

Are your ads relevant to the content? Are your ads placed in such a way that they are seen easily by your visitors by not viewed as "obtrusive"?

There is a fine line you must walk with making ads appealing but not annoying. Once you get that right placement, folks will view them as helpful links instead of ads.

Beyond that, it takes lots of traffic to generate any sort of real income from ad clicks. If you are getting just a few hundred visitors a day, you may not be getting but 1-2 clicks a day (1 click per hundred page impressions is reasonable for many sites).

 

More traffic more chances of getting clicks. You can also sell advertising (banner ads, side bar, etc.) on your site. Also, if your site becomes popular enough, you can sell it for some $$$$.

Targeted traffic to a site that solves a problem works well. Pre-selling an affiliate product with the goal of getting the click thru to your affiliate sales page works great as long as the sales page is well written and converts some of the traffic into sales for you.

Simple fundamentals, Join several forum networks that have something in common with your web site product. Meet the people at those forums. Spend your advertising dollars at the ones that bring you visitors. And some at the ones that don’t.

Making money is not simple.First have to find some good niches then generate traffic and then earn money.

 

ABout a week ago I made a tutorial for complete beginners to being a webmaster. I remember when I started off it was so overwelming. I got the wrong hosting, the wrong domain, did onsite optimization wrong, etc.
