Looking for some advice here... My company is launching a series of sales lead generation sites. We are pretty good at search, but the challenge is that when we go into any new market we do not have any vendors to sell our leads to. We have an internal team that does outbound phone calls, trade shows, etc. Recently we have started to augment these efforts with some direct marketing (e.g. emailing folks in the new industry and introducing our service). Here lies the challenge: In a new industry, What is the most effective way to get email addresses (ideally of a sales team)? We have bought some lists from infoUSA and done some hand collected addresses with limited success. Curious to know how others solve this problem. Thoughts?
give away some thing free. and get name and email. to get traffic use ppc. then use aweber.com for optin.
I would suggest getting a constentcontact account setup and either add it directly to your sites or use an in-line pop up with a subscribe field in it.
Hey there, Have you ever seen the way facebook does it? Once a member registers for an account, they have the option to send invitations to their friends. The functionality of facebook allows the user to import their address books. If you could do something like that, email addresses would stack up. It really depends what your niche is though for this method. Sincerely, Travis Walters
You could get some free products in your niche (or buy them and have giveaway rights), make a page with lots of these products in pack for FREE and offer them for download with entering name and email. This way you can collect a lot of emails because everyone loves free stuff. And as somebody said use PPC to advertise the page (like AdWords).
