How to gain links in google

    hello guys, How to gain or how to have links in google because when I do this link:www.mydomain dot com nothings happen. No links appear under my website...

    its been up for 5 months... Its weird because when I searched for in Google with its keyword it appears to be in the first or second page consistently...

    i don't know why it is happening, when i check my links in other backlink checkers it is showing lots of backlinks but google only showing 10

    link:mydomain.com in Google isn't the best way to find your backlinks. To find out how many back links to your site Google is actaully aware of you should sign up for their webmaster tools.

    Google will never show all the backlinks of your site but will show approximately 25% of the total. To know the exact numbers, check the yahoo site explorer.

    There are alot of backlink checkers online which can be found via google easily, and above all free :p

    Yeah don't look to Google as a source of determining how many backlinks your site has. It is completley unreliable in that regard.

    Yahoo is a much better way of viewing your actually backlinks.

    Google only shows limited amounts of domains, check Yahoo or MSN instead ;)

    No reason other than they just tend to hide the amount of backlinks. But if you sign up for Webmaster tools you can see a lot more.
