    Hey guys,

I am about to launch a clickbank product into an untapped niche, What are some tips on how to gain affiliates to sell your product?

I have the usual affiliate's area with all kinds of useful things, but what are some ways online that you can increase your affiliates and improve your gravity?

    Thanks!

-Test your product before you launch. Make sure you can generate sales with your landing page before you even consider launching this product and expecting affiliates to promote for you. After you have tested and tweaked your website for optimal conversion rates make sure you show your affiliates important stats like conversion rates, refund rates, charge back rates, and also be specific on how your affiliates can generate income promoting your product the same way you did.

-make sure your affiliate section has banner ads, PPC keywords, articles for article directories, posts affiliates can use to put up on their blog, graphics of your product, squeeze pages, alternate landing pages, e-mail promos, and maybe an affiliate marketing starter guide.

-announce your launch on as many relevant forums as you can.

-search for other websites that are in the same niche as your website on google. Contact the owners of these websites and ask them if they will promote for you. Make sure when you approache the owners of these websites be kind, tell them the benefits of promoting your website, and don't make some generic e-mail that can be sent to any website, make sure your e-mail is personal and tailored specifically to the person you are contacting. If you can get these web masters on the phone then give them a call, it will increase your chances of them marketing for you.

    Good luck with your launch!

^^ yeah listen to Le Dangles and make sure you TEST your conversion rate. So many people try and launch a product without even getting any sales, expecting affilaites to do the testing. They won't, you wjust won't get nearly as much interest as if you post with conversion screenshots and info on where the conversions came from and how you have promoted it best.

Read around this forum a little at other launch threads - see what kind of info people include, and look at the difference between the people who get "abuse" or laughed at, and the people who get interest, constructive questions and affiliates getting involved - and make sure you are geared up to be one of these :) Good luck!

you can approach to affiliates yourself. If it's a high converting , low competition niche, you should get some affiliates easily.

So what are some good ways to sell your product to test it before you begin to try and get affiliates?

Would you just test most methods (PPC, articles, etc) and find out which method works best for each one, basically selling it as it you were the affiliate?

Yup, affiliates will be much more interested in promoting your product when you've shown your commitment by marketing the product yourself.

Check out Product of the day or just target cb-analytics.com with adsense ads - many affiliates go there on a daily basis.

I never thought of doing that. Do you know how much per click is it on cb-analytics?

lol, he owns it so he should so :p

Karabas you should really open up a paid "featured merchant" spot - we would be really up for this for weekly / monthly slot, and obviously we would pay... I would love it if you offered this - perhaps an image / small area of text somewhere saying brief info about the merchant, and then with a click a whole page giving more info...

i usually run adwords to get the best ctr ads performing. with that, i'd know my conversion rates. then, i'd pass this knowledge to affiliates for them to make use of this knowledge as well as provide a huge affiliate section to make it easier for them to market my products. also have an opt in box, so you can keep in touch with your affiliates for updates / newer product launches.

wont blatantly market my products on your thread, but if you're interested to see what it's like, pm me and ill show you an example.

    good luck

Getting a bona fide webmaster in your niche to review your product & look at any emails you have received from affiliate marketers promoting similar products through clickbank & then offer them a good commission to promote your product to their lists, that is the two things which changed things for me, after the launch of my first clickbank product three months ago. You have to let the world no what you've got to offer or it will end up in the clickbank graveyard.

You will have to give away about 70% commission to get marketers interested, but it's better to have 30% of something than 100% of nothing !

    Yup wise words,
and the same for me, the big difference for me came when I started approaching affiliates one by one - big affiliates - and struck deals for them to mail their lists about our launch - there is no better affiliate than one with a large list of people interested in your product niche...

The main problem with the big marketers is that, they are nearly all looking for subscription based clickbank products, which gives them a guaranteed monthly return & increases their back end sales & long term residual income.
