    Got a question here,

I want to upload a script using dreamweaver but having trouble getting it to play the game as I want binary only. Can't have ASCII, anyone kind enough to give me an idiots guide on how to do the settings please.?

I need to know too. Did you figure this out? I can't get a definite answer but it seems that Dreamweaver 8 is supposed to decide automatically, but one of my scripts isn't working, so I'm wondering if DW8 used binary or ASCII to upload.

I have had problems once or twice with dreamweaver doing its own thing with uplaoded files.

To get around it i downloaded cuteftp, its a free trial programme that has a button for ASCII or binary.

Its a quick and dirty way to get going again if you are in a hurry...

Thanks. Yeah, I fiddled around with the Dreamweaver FTPExtensions.txt (I think that was the name) and changed PHP to BINARY. No joy. Restarted, rebooted, re-uploaded, retested ... nada. I think Dreamweaver just does it's own thing.

I downloaded FileZilla and it worked immediately and fixed the problem. CuteFTP gets mentioned a lot, I should try that one too.

    Dreamweaver ... Grrrr.

Just be aware that CuteFTP isn't free, though.
