Working on a business plan for a new site that will be in the food niche. Struggling with finding information on how to best forecast potential ad revenue. Can anyone give some tips? Thanks.

I interviewed with a company that owns Free Credit Report.com or something like that. They had people by computers all day who bid on words. (Example)One day someone bids $1.25 for "credit report" the next day maybe they jump up to $1.35. I think they were making $20M per year, so now I am pissed at the free credit report industry becasue its all a money making scheme.

So I would suggest you work for one of those internet marketing firms for a year and learn. I wish I had a better suggestion because it sounds like you're putting together a B plan for school. The truth is you can't predict it unless you do it and if someone is doing it they are not going to tell anyone their system.

First thing you need to do is look at the old records. Also the recent trends of traffic, sales would give you an indication.

He does not have a history or old records. How do you forecast with no history?
