Hi, Lately I have had a budget of $400 AUD per day and i'm making $1400 USD per day. So about $1100 AUD profit each day. Which i'm very happy with. I wanted to know the methods of keeping my campaign at the same pace as it is now ( same clicks, conversions etc ) but lowering the costs. I was on 0.11 cents per click the other day and now they have raised it to 0.13 on placements, and in keywords i'm getting 0.16 and 0.25 on others which I think could affect my profits in the end. Also all of my clicks seem to be coming from Other placements on the content network How exactly do I find out what sites they're coming from etc.. Thanks
Do you have a great QS? The most common technique to lower your advertising cost and staying in the same place is decreasing your CPC by 15% every 2 days(this opinion can vary from person to person, some say every day some every three...)
Sorry I'm quite new to this. If my CPC is at 25 cents i should reduce it to 20 cents and it will drop the average and ill still see the same ammount of clicks?
you need to write new text ads to increase CTR... as CTR increases so will QS and position allowing you to reduce bids to place you back into the same position at a lowered cost. It sounds easier than it really is
I will explain you how it works,so as robertpriolo said one post before me: Write 4-10 different ad copies and test them one by one all in the same position(if possible)for the same keyword. You can get a good picture of your CTR after 300-500impressions(I prefer 300 some people less some more...). So when you finish the test you will see which adcopy performed the best,in other words which adcopy had the highest CTR. Then stick only to the best performing adcopy, gain a good CTR with it and you can then start reducing your CPC by 15% and stay in the same position . So if your CPC is $0.25 decrease it to $0.21 a click, then after 2 days repeat this decreasing technique. So when you must stop decreasing CPC? When you decrease it and lose position you must stop. Then just increase it by 15% and that is the minimum bid you can get for that keyword. Hope it helps.
