I'm probably just feeling guilty for abusing the rep system.

Sometimes you've got to think, is what I'm doing here good for the DP community and on this occasion I feel that the vibe to new members is that if you join up here you won't be welcome.

Was that red rep you, Fryman? Well whoever it was, what exactly do you mean by "Thanks for encouraging this behavior. How pathetic of you"? I can't see what exactly is pathetic about giving someone a second chance.

I'm not sure why someone would red rep the person for starting this thread.

I mean, sure he could have used the search function...but I think people are getting a little to angry/sensitive about YART's. Especially when all he was doing was asking and not complaining.

When I saw the list of red reps the guy got I guess I felt a bit sorry for him and I'm glad he's back to green again. :)

I just try to live my life by asking myself what would Steven Stegall do? Would he give him green rep or grab him by the hand and flip him over onto the ground and then go eat 14 double cheeseburgers.

So, let me see if I understand this thread. A poster named aplora posts about red reps. A bunch of posters proceed to red rep and ridicule him. By at least post #23, aplora's user name was changed to Xmember, and the red reps continued. Then in #32, #34, and #35 Xmember does something I'd consider creepy. He did some research into the websites of Shoemoney, Nintendo, and joeychgo, and apparently listed a couple street names/P.O. Boxes. What's up with that? Then the attitude of the whole thread changes, and Xmember starts getting green reps.

    What a strange, strange thread.

    I concur.

Early on, he didn't really deserve all that red rep.

Later, on he really really did deserve that red rep -- but he got green rep instead.

That sums it up, except you left off the part of him fondling himself while he looked up everyone's addresses.

Don't get me wrong buddy. The guys who red repped you I would consider friends, although I've never met them in person. lol I still agree with everyone that the way you've conducted yourself hasn't been great. Posting the addresses of members just because they red repped you isn't the mature way of resolving a dispute.

What you need to realise is that red rep flies all over the place at this forum and we all take our fair share at some time or another. You need to get to know a forum and try and fit in before airing all your views and acting like you are somebody.

    Respect is earned

we're talking about two things. reputation on a forum, and personal safety.

grow up. having a red rep doesn't mean you're ugly and have a small penis.

Well, to be fair, that information was already on the Internet.

And seriously, no issues of personal safety are involved. I mean, seriousy, who could ever be afraid of someone who cries when someone gives them an electronic red mark?

It's still the principal though....anyone can find out anyone's phone number with a bit of hard work. But to then put it on a hookering site? That's malicious.

    And not very delicious.

This person doesn't deserve any 'sympathy' green.

Now you are against the forum Rules -
"Personal attacks against people, or sites will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with someone or their site, take it up with them personally."

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=dp_faq#faq_posting_guidelines
You did that more than twice in this thread.

Now you are pandering people to give bad reps to other - you deserve more than what i got. Completely against the forum spirit and rules.

Found some interesting sites of yours Wow none would have even dared to venture in those...

    www.Nuclearnow.org
    www.Suicide-hotline.org
    www.Unorganized-militia.us

ticking bombs - and here i am worrying about getting red reps...

Xmember now you're realy crossing the line even further and making me wish I didn't already give you green. Please drop the subject all together, it will only help your cause not to continue.
