How to find whether Google has penalized a site?

Hi,
How do I find whether google has penalized a site? If the site has lost its ranking,then does that mean google has penalized that site?What are the criteria should I taken into considerations

 

Your website might become deindexed out of Google Index, PR Drop to 0/NA, not ranking for it's name etc...
However it might not always be a penalty, you should also consider sandbox and link aging filters specially for new websites.

 

Yea if ur website suddenly dissapears from google for a long time than its penalized

 

If you lose your PR, it doesn't mean that your site is getting penalized. If could mean that your site is now less important measured against new and other improving competitors. Usually to check whether it is penalized, just type in full url in google search and confirm whether it still appears in the index.

 

if your most of the first page keywords ranking will disappear, your pr will down immediately, cutting in back links etc

 

When you rank suddenly decline,it's obvious.

 

when you do n't rank for your own site.. then it's known as penalized

if my site is http://watch-greek-online.info and if i am not ranking for the keyword "watch greek online" then is that mean my site is penalised....but watch greek online is a pretty competitive keyword

site's pages may deindexed, remove your PR if there any exists, No search result for your site....

 

How many pages are being indexed by google .
If google index many pages of your site, then the indexed pages drop to only several pages, one page or even none.
That is penalized.

 

To find out whether one's site is banned or penalized, there are actually many ways to do it. One way is using a 'Check Google ban Tool'.

 

I suggest you build some backlinks and add some content in your site. Hopefully your site will come back in search results for your keyword.
