Some time ago I made website buttons. I now need to redo the text on top of one of the buttons, but I can't find out which exact color was used. It was rasterized and saved as a JPEG. I can't figure out how tell what color the text was written in. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks. When I use the dropper to select the color, it never matches the original. I'd hate to have to redo 11 buttons instead of just one, which is what I'll have to do if I don't figure out which color I used.
Can you post the button? If you're using the eye dropper, make sure you've got "Only web Colours" UNTICKED.
he did say "sometime ago" ... I highly doubt the history is still there OP: using the eye dropper should give you the precise color, just make sure the color profiles are the same in both files, (RGB/CYMK)
Thanks for all the replies, but I ended up having to remake all of the buttons. I had deleted the PSD files and just kept the rasterized photos. I noticed if you still have a copy of the PSD file, you can use the dropper to find the original color. Oh well, live and learn.
