    No website owner can stay without buying links. Each site owner who is creating links for his site either manually/software-as good as buying links. In this case, they are creating links free. Doesn't matter wheather the links are created freely or bought, but they aren't created naturally which Google does not like. So no one can survive without buying/creating links.
