How to find the IP of someone ??

Well, I want to know that is there any trick to know the IP of anybody??

Like if someone is mailing us and we need to know his/her IP address??

Or if we are chatting with them on any IM.

Or if someone is scrapping us via Orkut.

 

Well, is it possible , like you can ask your friend or whomsoever you're talking with to visit your site/forum/blog like "Hey check this blog/forum/site..it's cool" sort of thing

Then you can track the IP through searching the traffic details...simple as that.

P.S.I was once tricked by that, it's effective...people just click away any link they come across... lol

 

If he visits your site - you can see his IP if you have a visitor counter like statcounter installed.

The QIP client for ICQ sometimes shows the ip of the person you're chatting with.

Its possible to trace IP address of someone that has e-mailed you. here is the way

open your command prompt and type this netstat -a this ll show list of ip addresses to whom your pc is connected.

You just want to know the location of that person right?
Do this, and you will get the ip:

Open the email sent to you by the person that you want to know his/her IP address.
Click on full header of that email, it is at the bottom of the page if you scroll down.
The full header in Yahoo mail looks like this:

Now copy that header (everything, in that light blue box).
Search Google: "email tracer", and enter a site from the results. Paste the header in the box, click submit and you will get what you want.

If you want to know the ip of the person you are chatting with, when in chat, send that person a file (large size file/picture, so you have enough times). While that person is downloading/receiving the file, open cmd (start/run/then enter "cmd"), use netstat to get the IP.

Note: If you don't send a file to the person you are chatting with (or you are not connecting to his/her computer). netstat will show the IP of the chat server not the IP of person you are chatting with.

Above option is not enabled by default for that u have to do this using mail preference !!
