Hi, thanks in advance for reading this... one of my friends has bought an old site and now planning to approach advertisers for banner ads / text links ... now what is the best way to reach them? post in forums? or should he approach the site owners directly - cold call / email? What strategy do you follow?
as the same as get answer hoe to success with adsense ,the best way to get direct or indirect advertiser should be with focusing on your own traffic and once your traffic hit "loyalty visitor you dont need to worry about how to get new advertiser
the best way is First evaluate who will exactly be the advertiser for your website how much facilities you can provide any or specific advertiser, which product, service can support advertising at your website, can you give the best return of advertisers investment...... Just think you will have a line of advertisers before you
I have the same exact question. But, I was advised to just make sure my website is top notch, concentrate on my keywords, get hella traffic. Well the SEO part is working great. I'm not on page 1 but i'm getting there. I don't know what to even charge and advertiser. Is adsense easier? since i wouldn't have to figure out how much to charge?
@ copper12 "The best way, of course, is to send them an e-mail" - the problem is spam filter - how do I ensure they actually READ my mail?
I would think that if you put in the header of your e-mail that you are looking to advertise in their site, they would open it. I just simply put: "I would like to advertise in your site." In the e-mail I ask for their rates, and other details. But many sites have an advertising page, package, to look at, so... I have a URL, TheList.FM, that some e-mail programs peg as spam. Like yahoo, for example. Sometimes the "spam" box is checked off. Sometimes it is not. So even though I have in the header stating I would like to advertise in their site, if it is pegged as spam, many may not open it still. To solve this I have a yahoo account to send out such e-mail.
